Literature Review

Gutierrez 2008 argues that long time exposure to mobile phones even when not in use can cause headaches which can lead to hard time falling into a deep sleep. “Participants took longer to reach stage 3 sleep when exposed to radiation than when exposed to sham radiation, and stayed in stage 4 sleep for a shorter time” (Gutierrez 2008). This clearly shows how severe mobile phones radiation can lead to illness and cause huge stress for you. Hawk 2009 argues about the addiction the younger age groups have when they have mobile phones. “Are you constantly checking to see if you have a missed call?” (Hawk 2009). This would recall you as an addict to mobile phones because you are feeling lonely and you feel that the only way to solve that issue is by using your mobile phones to communicate with other people.

The Times 2005 have discovered that younger children have a higher chance of getting tumour if they are allowed to use mobiles at a young age. “The number of mobiles in Britain has doubled to 50 million since the first government-sponsored report in 2000. The number of children aged between five and nine using mobiles has increased fivefold in the same period” (The Times 2005). As you can see, there’s a high chance that younger children may have tumour in the future is increasingly high due to parents allow their children to use mobile phones.

VARK Questionnaire

I have completed a VARK Questionnaire as it is supposed to determine what type of learner I am. There are 4 types of learning known as:

1. V - Visual Learner
2. A - Aural Learner
3. R - Read/Write Learner
4. K - Kinesthetic Learner

The questionnaire is a multiple choice questionnaire of 16 questions which will calculate the answers you chose provide you with the type of learner you are.

The most category which came up for me was a Kinesthetic learner with the others not to far behind. I assume that I'm a type of person who learns with a combination with a bit of all the VARK categories. But the most category was Kinesthetic because I think that I'm a person that prefers to learn by touch and doing with what I have been given.
